Peripheral Controller - Interface Converter


The UMD Model 221 Series Peripheral Controllers are part of the Unique Micro Design ProtoLink Architecture family of products.The Model 221 Series feature inbuilt keyboard wedge, four serial ports, parallel port, cash drawer interface (CDI), magnetic card reader interface and bar code decoder (BCR). An optional Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) of 2 lines by 16 characters. Due to the flexibility of programming, the M221 is ideal for terminal applications, or where there is a limited number of ports available for peripherals. Host communication may be via a serial or parallel port.
